Deleting your MoneyKhata account is simple and happens right inside the app — no emails, no forms, no waiting.
Follow these simple steps to permanently delete your MoneyKhata account:
Open MoneyKhata and go to Settings.
Open Profile & card (the Account section).
Tap Delete account.
Type the name as asked, to confirm you really mean it.
Tap delete. Done — the account and its cloud data are permanently deleted.
If you were signed in with Google (or Apple on iOS), deletion permanently removes from our server, in one operation:
Your account and sign-in session;
Every synced ledger record — expenses, income, khata transactions, people, budgets, categories and recurring entries.
Only your name and email are kept in a private archive record so we can honour your deletion and never contact you afterwards. That record holds no financial data and cannot be used to recover anything.
Your phone's data stays on your phone. MoneyKhata is local-first — deletion does not wipe the records stored on your device. You keep everything and can continue using the app as a guest, exactly like before you signed in.
If you want your local data gone too, simply delete the records inside the app, clear the app's data in your phone settings, or uninstall MoneyKhata.
If you never signed in, there is no account and no cloud data — nothing to delete. All your records live only on your device.
You can sign in again anytime to start a fresh account.
Please note: Deleted cloud data cannot be restored, so delete only when you are sure.
